| OUR DOCTORS:  Dr. Stacy Hamlet, O.D. - Dr. Hamlet was born in Fargo, ND of all places! She grew up in Simi Valley, attented Simi High and went on to receive her bachelor of economics at UCLA in 1989. Her first job after graduation was working in Tokyo, Japan. She has traveled extensively in Asia, Europe and North America. After a year living in Edinburgh, Great Britain, she moved to Thousand Oaks in 1992. She met her husband, Dr. Griffith, while in Optometry school in Boston, MA and they have been happily married since July of 2000. Dr. Hamlet is a voracious reader and moviegoer, amateur photographer, and somewhat lazy hiker. In addition to all those fine traits she does a "darn fine" pigeon pose on the yoga mat and her latest kick is spin class. Dr. Jason Griffith, O.D. - Dr. Griffith grew up in upstate New York and completed his undergraduate work in Biology and History at the State University of New York at Oswego. After working for several years in pharmaceutical research in Rochester, NY (his hometown) and Cincinnati, OH, he moved to Boston, MA, to attend the New England College of Optometry. There he earned his Doctor of Optometry Degree and met his wife and partner Dr. Stacy Hamlet. During his clinical rotations Dr. Griffith earned Honors in both Contact Lenses and Cornea / Refractive Co-management. As a former contact lens wearer for 20+ years, he is very understanding of the needs of these patients. Dr. Griffith had Z-Lasik in April '10 with the surgery performed by Dr. Paul Dougherty in Camarillo and the results have proven to be 'fantastic!!!' On a personal level he is an avid runner and has finished 28 marathons/ultramarathons (including NYC, Boston and LA). As many of you know his longtime goal to break 3 hours was finally accomplished in Rochester, NY in Sept. '09 in 2:59:56 (a whole 3 seconds to spare :) Most recently he completed the Rio Del Lago 100 mile ultra-marathon in Granite Bay and the Santa Barbara Marathon. He loves spending time training on the trails around TO and Ventura County. Despite his busy schedule he still finds time to make his wife and two small children Connor and Miranda his top priority. OUR STAFF: Lindsey Redlin - We are very happy and fortunate to have Lindsey as a part of our staff. Already a graduate of Pepperdine University, she is pursuing a future in nursing. Lindsey is a quick study and has mastered the many office tasks required to provide our patients great service. She is a fantastic addition to our 'family' and has shown tremendous growth and development in her optical knowledge and skills. Lindseys' all-around excellence in the office means she can assist you from start to finish. Mark Renner - We are very pleased and lucky to have Mark. He is an ABOC licenced Optician and has been with our office since 1989. He worked with the practice founder Dr. Jack Lebby and then Dr. Karyn Fong. We feel so fortunate to have Mark because of his extensive optical expertise and his winning sense of humor. Mark speaks Spanish, German and a little French in addition to English. He was born in Germany and earned a degree of Master Optician there. When Mark is not solving complex optical problems in our office, he is spending time with his two grandchildren and traveling with his family. Barbara Whitebread - Barbara is a fantastic part of our team. She was born and raised in Camarillo and is very personable and tech savvy as a former Geek Squad member. Currently Barbara attends Cal State Channel Islands and is pursuing a teaching degree to become an elementary school teacher. Her interests include spending time at the beach (she is a California girl after all) and travel. Barbaras' travels have taken her camping throughout California all the way up to Canada and Alaska! Bianca Sanchez - We are very excited about our newest staff member Bianca. She'll be helping keep our front desk running smoothly while greeting you when you walk in the door and make sure your paperwork is in order so you're taken care of promptly. Bianca has proven a very quick study and is already a very proficient addition to our office team. | |
